                Every breath came with sharp stabbing pain as Lee stuggled through the aptly named “bone garden” of Di yu.  Thirty contestants had entered with a single promise kill the lone gardener and each of them would be freed.  They were overconfident and why wouldn’t they be, they were given weapons and those with powers or magic had them restored for the event.  As they first encountered the lost boy ten men died in an instant having no powers to aid them, the remaining twenty started falling to the wild child in various and grotesque ways.  But Lee was smart, he was a survivor, ten years in the triad will harden a man, combat magic and cybernetics certainly didn’t hurt either.  Other things kept him going too, the thought of a sister he left behind when he was caught chief among them.  Suddenly peals of childlike laughter echoed off the walls as his stalker drew near.  A song akin to the drunken sailor rang through the garden.

Lee called out to the energy of the planet, flame came to his left hand as he readied his 1911 operator in his other.  He spun searching for the source of the obscene limerick panic starting to wear at his hardened mind.

Despite himself lee called out “you don’t scare me you snow white freak!” his voice fraying as he beheld the ruined corpses of his fellow participants falling from the sky like a rain

“I’ll see you burn with this garden gweilo!’ he shouted as he channeled more energy flaming kanji appeared in the air above him and attached to his arm.  He raised it ready to burn this wretched place to the ground until a bolt of lightning severed his arm from his body, the cybernetics in his body pumped pain killers and sealed the veins and arteries shut preventing him from bleeding out or passing out from shock.  He looked up and saw the mad fae creature lounging in a tree, he aimed and fired with the 1911 operator letting off a volley of shots, none found flesh as the fae’s erratic movements saw him close in with lee in moments.  A series of unnaturally strong blows rent lee’s flesh from his bones in a few seconds.  Helpless before his merciless tormentor he cursed his cybernetic implants that kept him clinging to consciousness as Wildlings fingers descended towards his eyes….
